Duino Castle
Perched on the Gulf of Trieste,
the perfect place for a romantic bride.
There are places where time seems to take on a different rhythm.
Spending three days in a castle overlooking a sparkling sea, surrounded by intensely fragrant gardens and views of extraordinary beauty,
is an experience that suspends time and amplifies every sensation. The hours pass lightly, almost silently, and when you realize they are slipping away,
all that remains is the desire to stop those moments, to cherish them.
It is in this spirit that we experienced and recounted this photo shoot, days immersed in the light, elegance,
and authentic beauty of a place that was created to be remembered.
Duino Castle, built in the 14th century, became a cultural and humanistic center in the 18th century and has welcomed numerous prestigious guests over the years:
Elisabeth of Austria (Sissi), Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and the Counts of Chambord, Johann Strauss, Franz Liszt, Gabriele d'Annunzio,
Paul Valery, and the illustrious Bohemian poet Rainer Maria Rilke.
Its rooms are full of historical artifacts, and from the outer ramparts overlooking the sea
and the panoramic terrace of the tower, you can admire the extraordinary view of the Gulf of Trieste.
The park of Duino Castle winds its way across several levels with expanses and multicolored cascades of flowers of all kinds,
forming striking splashes of color in the classic Mediterranean vegetation and providing a backdrop for numerous statues.
A place of rare beauty, a jewel of the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
