Stepping into a Monet Painting
Fascinated by Venice’s passage of light, in 1908, the illustrious impressionist painter Claude Monet took residence at
The St. Regis Venice, at the time Grand Hotel Britannia, challenging the eternal beauty of the city.
The reception held at the St Regis was set up in the garden overlooking the Grand Canal, the floral arrangements and the decoration of the tables were beautifully designed down to the smallest detail, all inspired by the colour palette of the famous painting “The Grand Canal”. Everyone was enraptured by the beauty around them!
